The first time I saw Elvis

The first time I watched Elvis on our little tv I was hooked. That memory is the first in my book, until the day we visited Memphis, Elvis was home and he rode his motorcycle around the circle drive over and over as I stood at the gate. Hours later when he left for home, I noticed green paint on my hands from holding on the front gates. Today everything is going green......need I say more.

  1. Elvis.... :) I never met him, he died before I was even born but I was raised on Elvis from the time I was little. Elvis Presley was and still is the greatest entertainer of all time. He was real, raw, had a wonderful heart and sense of humor. No one could ever compare to him, and some try but no one could even come close. He brought so much to this world and left us too soon. Just think today how much he could have done and would still be doing for music and others. Elvis Presley is and will remain my king.

    1. ELvis was the Wonder of the World...he had our hearts first time music notes came out of him! He was much better in person, better looking than any photo could be.

  2. I never saw Elvis, but remember my parents playing the Aloha from Hawaii record all the time when I was a kid. I saw Graceland for the first time when I was 17 and several other times after that with Angela a huge Elvis Fan. :-) Including the Elvis 25th anniversary concert.

  4. The mystic of Elvis Aaron Presley lives on. Only us true Elvis fans understand this mystery, no words need to be spoken...we just understand. As time passes, each Elvis week renews our love for him, even though that unconditional love remains with us each and every day. I truly believe there will not be another like Elvis, his music will forever lists # 1 on the charts. We have been blessed.

  6. Many of you may have heard of Jimmy Velvet, who was a good friend of Elvis and his family since the mid-'50s, and who operated the Elvis Presley Museums for several years. He now has a booth at the Automotive Collection at the Quad Hotel in Las Vegas, where he sells and autographs his book (including lots of pictures of Elvis and his family), individual photos with Elvis and other musicians, and his Greatest Hits CD. You can print out a voucher for free admission to the Automotive Collection (which has some classic old cars!) at Mr. Velvet's website, www.insidethedream.net. Definitely worth a visit!
